Albert Kelly is the founder of Yarrila. Albert's lived experience has prepared him for the journey he will be embarking on to Empower First Nation young people through his Cultural programs and Sporting Academy. Albert is a very humbling person who 's genuine intention is to teach our communities cultural protocols and cultural safety through our Justice system, our education system and most importantly to our diverse communities who now reside in Australia.
YRC (Youth Retreat Centre) believes in the old saying "It takes a village to raise a child", is more prevalent now in the present and in our future for our leaders of tomorrow. YRC's ultimate goal is to achieve a village of like-minded community members, families and leaders to ensure there is a future for our young people navigating this forever changing world, with so many barriers and challenges for our culturally diverse young people. Yarilla and YRC have made a commitment to ensure this occurs in the communities we work with. Our united goal is to be forever present with our young people within the Youth Justice System, to provide continuous support and most importantly consistency with our weekly visits, as this is a simple thing to do. We will live by YRC Ethos:
